Douglas Dean Welch Sr., 57, husband of Tara Elizabeth Welch, died Friday, March 16, 2012 in Savannah, GA. He is the son of the late Douglas Oliver and Esther Mae Edmundson Welch. He loved his family, his BMW and Hawaii. Additional family survivors are his children, Douglas Dean Welch Jr., of Lexington, Kimberly Michelle Welch of TX, Bethany Marie Welch of Nicholasville, James Brandon Welch of AZ, two grandchildren, Carson and Savannah Welch of AZ, his mother in law, Cheryl Christine Pinson of Nicholasville and other family members. Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from Noon until time of service. Bearers will be Douglas Welch Jr., Gary Sword, Adam, Josh, and Jay Mesinger, Christian Novak and Ashley Yost. Donations suggested to Welch Education Fund at PNC Bank.
