Edna Byrd Hammond Reynolds

Edna Byrd Hammond Reynolds, 82 widow of John Hammond and Bill Reynolds, died Friday, July 20, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Rosie McQueen Byrd. Edna was a member of the Clover Bottom Baptist Church. Survivors are a daughter, Reagan (Jim) Embry, three grandchildren, Bobby (Vindy) Wiley, Jessica Wiley (Casey) Heath, Lisa Wiley Rooney, seven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, a sister, Hazel Byrd Combs, two brothers, Ivon (Mary) Byrd, Clayton (Loita) Byrd and other family members. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Datha Byrd Jennings and Golden Byrd White. Services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Bobby and David Wiley, Terry Byrd, Jimmy Embry, Casey and Jessica Heath. Honorary bearers will be Arza, Ivon and Clayton Byrd. Contributions suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
