Edwin Bruce Baker

Edwin Bruce Baker, 81, husband of Peggy Smith Baker, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015. He was born August 2, 1934 in Manchester, KY to the late John Combs and Edith Allen Baker. Bruce was a carpenter, army veteran, member of Tates Creek Christian Church and carpenters local 1650. He liked to work, garden and fish. Survivors are three children, Edwin Lee (Joan) Baker, Rodney Bruce (Lynn) Baker, Renee (Bill) Hiens, two grandchildren, Austin (Amy) Baker and Cassie (Waylon)Boyd, four great grandchildren, Kyndra Hiens, Trae Boyd, Ella Baker and Dee Dee Baker, two sisters Elizabeth Hamm and Theresa (Harold) Edwards, a brother, Gene (Marsha) Baker and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Baker and two sisters, Elsie Scott and Jackie Dennison. Service will be11:30 AM Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Dr. Brad Walden officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
