Eileen G. Folsom, 78, of Woodspointe Way, died Monday, October 22, at her home after a valiant battle with cancer. Eileen lived her youth in Durango, Colorado. She attended Los Angeles Pacific College and married her best friend's brother, Harold Folsom. The three sang and gave meals to the homeless at L.A.'s Peniel Mission. Eileen worked for U.S. Army Intelligence before becoming a homemaker. She and her husband of 51 years moved to Kentucky in 1993, attending Wilmore Free Methodist. She had a sincere love for poetic writings. She is survived by her brother, Charles Kluss of Durango, two sisters, Ruth McCabe of Burbank, California and Joyce Brumley of Albuquerque, New Mexico, her son, Wesley and wife Susan Folsom of Wilmore, her daughter, Karen and husband Dan Georgiades of Tacoma, Washington, her six grandchildren, Katrina Restivo of West Glacier, Montana, Ryan Folsom of Lexington, Kristen Luidhart of Greenwood, Indiana, Eric Folsom of Greenville, Illinois, Sarah Georgiades and Josh Georgiades of Tacoma and two great-grandchildren, Carson and Blake Restivo of West Glacier. Dr. Timothy Thomas will preside over the funeral service at Betts & West Funeral Home on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Wilmore Cemetery.
