Nicholasville-Elizabeth Merriman Arrowood, 73, widow of John McKinley Arrowood, of Grosser Street, died September 9, 2008 after a long illness. She was a member of High Bridge Nazarene Church. She was born in High Bridge, daughter of the late George and Flossie Rowe Merriman. Survivors include four children, Lewis (Shirley) Arrowood, Charles (Sharon) Arrowood, Easter Hunt, and Johnny Arrowood, ten grandchildren, Robbie Arrowood, Mandy Ford, Bryan Arrowood, April Sneed, Daniel Arrowood, McKinley and Bethany Hunt, Josh, Frankie and Susan Peel, several great grandchildren, brothers, Charles 'Buck' and Greenberry Merriman, sisters, Martha Greer, Doris Adams, Pat Cheek and Bertha Merriman. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Peel, a grandchild, Tim Peel and a son in law, Norman Hunt, one brother and several sisters. Services will be 11:00am Friday, September 12, 2008 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Taylor officiating. Burial is in the Shawnee Run Cemetery.
