Elmer Glenmore Dailey Jr.

February 19, 1947 — July 9, 2009

Elmer Glenmore Dailey Jr., 62, husband of June Massa Dailey, of Indianapolis, IN, died July 9, 2009. He was an retired employee of IBM, member of Southeastern Church of Christ, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a fisherman who loved NASCAR, Mr. Dailey loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was the son of Alice Louise Eldridge Dailey and the late Elmer Glenmore Dailey Sr. Additional survivors include two children, Elmer Glenmore Dailey III and Janie Marie Dailey, both of Lexington, a grandchild, Jacklynn Marie Dailey-Lexington, three step children, Melissa, Jason and Andy Cummins, step grandchildren, Keenan and Krista Cummins, Destiny and Gracie Kord, Brianna, Kaitlyn and Malia Cummins, all of Indianapolis, a sister, Mary Susie (John) Locknane and a brother, Robbie Dailey, both of Nicholasville and many other family members. Services will be 11:30am Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Nate Bevier officiating. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Monday at the funeral home. Bearers will be Jonathan Locknane, Artie Dailey, Chip Covert, Wayne Massa, Chad Byars and Scott Burton. Honorary bearers will be John Locknane, J.B. Dailey, Jimmy Brumfield, Billy Bablitz, Billy Hurt, Mike Byars and Jimmy Jackson.
