Emily Kathleen Perry

Emily Kathleen Perry, 88, widow of Alex G. Perry, formerly of Lexington, died May 13, 2014 after an extended illness. She was a member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church. She is remembered as a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, possessing the gift of hospitality that all who sat at her table understood. Mrs. Perry is survived by three daughters, Susan Marye, Donna Pile and Patricia Clark, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and nieces, Paula Moore and Sandy Turk, a nephew, Tom (Jo) Perry and two great nieces, Jodie and Tracy and a sister in law, Phyllis Perry. Services will be 10:00am Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. James K. Pierce and Mac Marye officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Friday. Her grandchildren will serve as bearers. Donations are suggested to All God's Children, The Girl Project or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
