Ernestine Cobb Stinnett, 89, widow of Vernon Welch Stinnett, went to live with Jesus, Friday, March 4, 2016. She was born June 1, 1927 in Jessamine County to Ernest and Isadora Perkins Cobb. Member of Nicholasville United Methodist Church, Jessamine County Senior Citizen Volunteer, Red Hat Ladies. She had worked for Nicholasville School System for many years. She is survived by five children, Linda (William) Stacy, Martha Jane Stinnett, Wanda Lou Morris, Mary (Lowell) Boggs, Tina Ann York, six grandchildren, Justin Combs, Craig Morris, John Owens, Vernon Owens, Tara Lopez, Denver York, eight great grandchildren, Jacob Owens, Alexis Combs, Dylan Owens, Ciara Morris, Jadan Owens, Isaiah Morris, Allisyn Combs, Elijah Morris, a special nephew, Edward Welch Winkle III and other family members. She was also preceded in death by her loving brothers and sisters, two sons- in- law and great great grandson. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cobb Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Bearers will be Lucas Karpuleon, Jon Ruggiero, Nick Crespo, Justin Combs, Denver York and William Stacy. Honorary bearers will be John Owens, Vernon Owens, Edward Welch Winkle III and Craig Morris.
