Esther Neal Hager Davis

July 20, 1930 — December 28, 2017

Esther Neal Hager Davis, 87, widow of Ray Davis, passed Thursday, December 28, 2017. She was born in Jessamine County to the late Eddie “Jog” and Vina Reynolds Hager. Esther loved the farm life, a member of Jessamine County Beef Cattle Association, Fair Board, Southern States Home Advisory Board, and was an avid bingo player. Family survivors are a son Eddie Ray (Donna) Davis, a grandson, Eddie Jason (Shari) Davis, a great grandson, Nathan Davis, a sister Anna M. “Twinkie” (Billy) Floyd, a brother George Hager, a nephew, Jonathan (Alissa) Smith, two great nieces, a great nephew, a brother in law, John Smith, and special friends, Flo and James. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roscoe and Wallace Hager, a sister, Louetta Smith, and a nephew, Neal Floyd. Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Family will serve as bearers.
