Ethel Lyons Brim

Ethel Lyons Brim, 93, widow of Johnny Brim, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012. She was born December 2, 1918 in Mercer Co. to the late James Mearit and Ida Middleton Lyons. She was a homemaker whose greatest joy was spending time with her family.. Survivors are her children, Betty (Charles A.) Leonard of Lexington, Ann (McKinley) Thompson of Nicholasville, grandchildren, Gloria (Breck) Johnson and Roger Fathergill, Tina Placek, Tammy (Thad) Scott, Lisa Woods, McKinley (Anita) Thompson Jr., Debbie Carroll, Tonya (Christian) Chavez, Timmy, Johnny and Jeff Tuggle and Angie (Jackie) Smith, twenty two great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Tuggle. Services will be 11:00am Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Wittenberg officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Thad Scott, McKinley Thompson Jr., Roger Fathergill, Breck Johnson, Cory Placek, Tim Tuggle, Tina Elliott Placek and Caity Placek.
