Ethel Peel Turner, 81, died Monday, November 17, 2008. Ethel was born June 2, 1927 in Jessamine County to the late Luther and Virgie Sanders Peel. She was retired from TOCOCO sewing factory in Wilmore. Survivors include two daughters, Melissa (Jimmy) Estes and Paula Sugantz-Nicholasville, four grandchildren, Shelley (Ian) Estes-Niggebrugge-Lexington, Tabatha (Sam) Cassity, David Wayne Slugantz III, Morgan Bailee Slugantz, one great grandchild, Madison Bailee Cassity, a sister, Marjorie Stinnett, two brothers, Rankin Peel and Bobby (Betty) Peel, two sisters in law, Mary Margaret Peel and Joyce Peel-all of Nicholasville, many other family members. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Elaine Turner, a sister, Mary Lois Day and two brothers, Jerry and Billy S. Peel. Services will be 11:00am Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00pm today at the funeral home. Bearers will be David Wayne Slugantz III, Sam Cassity, Ian Niggebrugge, Jeff, David and Allen -Doodle- Peel. Honorary bearers will be Danny Peel, Donnie Lunsford, Benny Wilhoite, Arzie Byrd and Ronnie Sexton. Contributions are suggested to Sulphur Well Christian Church.
