Freddy Lane Mccollum

Freddy Lane McCollum, 61, passed away March 20, 2015. He was born on February 18, 1954 in Madison County, Kentucky to Lula Mae Phillips McCollum and the late Harley Floyd McCollum. Freddy worked as a bricklayer. He is survived by son Freddy Lane McCollum Jr., one daughter Melissa (Mike) Brumfield, two grandchildren Chasity and Shelby Brumfield, seven siblings Johnny (Peggy) McCollum, Ted (Vickie) McCollum, Mike (Margaret) McCollum, Billy (Jody) McCollum, Teresa McCollum, Thelma (Gayle) Cox and Joyce (Terry) Cuzick and his significant other Sandy Sterner. Beside his father he was preceded in death by four siblings, Jack McCollum, Helen Forsty, James McCollum and Bobby McCollum. Funeral service will be conducted at 1PM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at 4:00 PM in Berea, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 11-1 Thursday at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be Mike Brumfield, John Carrier, Brent Hudgins, Corey Hudgins, Jerry McCollum, Toby Carrier.
