Gary Eldon Bailey

Gary Eldon Bailey, 83, passed Wednesday, November 15, 2017. He was born September 22, 1934 in Salem, Iowa to the late Hanmer and Sylvia Litton Bailey. He was a retired construction worker, a member of the Wilmore Free Methodist Church, and Gideons International. Gary loved spending time with his family and enjoyed wood working. Family survivors include his children, Debra (Steve) Rhoades, Darrel Bailey & Denise (Dennis) Adams, his sister, Imogene Dorsey, 7 grandchildren, Aaron Bailey, Jenna Bailey, Andera (Dan) Tolson, Sara Grace Bailey, Michael (Justine) Rhoades, Wiley (Laura) Adams & Ethan Adams and 4 great-great grandchildren, Auburn Bailey, Bailey M. Messer, Reagan Adams & Scarlett Adams. He was also preceded in death by several siblings. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the Wilmore Free Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Wilmore Cemetery. Visitation at the church is from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:30 A.M. Saturday until the time of service. Casket Bearers will be Wiley & Ethan Adams, Aaron Bailey, Bill Cumby, Frank Daugherty, Bailey Messer, Larry Pickard and Michael Rhoades. Honorary Bearers will be Steve Derber, Leonard Fitch and the Fitch’s Breakfast Club.Memorial contributions are suggested to Gideons International or the Wilmore Free Methodist Church.
