Gary Howard Waller

Gary Howard Waller, 64, husband of 27 years to Debra Lynn Reynolds Waller, of Platt Drive, died November 16, 2009. He was a retired truck driver with Vitran Express, a member of Nicholasville United Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam receiving a Purple Heart, was an avid golfer and member of the Wanna Be-s golf team. Gary was a die hard UK football and basketball fan but his main love was his family and friends, especially Tad and Chloe. Additional survivors include three children, Lindsey (T.J.) Conners-Lancaster, Larry Brent Fairchild-Nicholasville and Julie Leigh Freeman-TX, two grandchildren, Tony Allen -Tad- Day and Chloe Starlin Lemons, a sister, Peggy (John) Kersey-Lex., brothers Charles Bryan -Chuck- (Jane) Waller-GA and David Lucas (Roxanne) Waller-Lex., a special aunt Evelyn M. Murphy-Nicholasville, many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Elizabeth Van Meter and a brother, James Bryan Waller. Services will be 2:00pm Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9pm today. Bearers will be Shawn, Greg, Mark and Victor Murphy, Darrell and Daron Willis and Johnny Collier. Honorary bearers will be Danny Teater, Shane Mager, Russell Middleton, Jesse Harris, Harold Turner Jr., Barry Welch, Gary Carter, Tony Blackburn, Ricky Rankin and Jason James.
