George Dale Shuman

April 16, 1934 — May 3, 2017

George Dale Shuman, 83, widower of his loving wife of 57 years, passed away Wednesday Morning at his home in Winchester, KY, surrounded by his family. He was born April 16, 1934 in Barnesville, OH and raised in Wheeling WVA to the late Granville Milroy and Julia Ann Delong Shuman. He was a self employed service station owner and operator. Dale was a Cub Scout Master for many years as well as a coach for many sporting activities.

He is survived by his four children Mike Shuman, Jenny Shuman, Julia Goldey (George), and Cecil Shuman (Cindy), twelve Grandchildren and eight Great-Grandchildren, he is also survived by his sister, Louise (Ronald) Connor and his brother, Denver (Joyce) Shuman, a Aunt, Susie Parson, his Sister in Law, Brenda (Ernie) Sams and other family members. Dale was also preceded in death by a Grandson, David Goldey, three Sisters and three Brothers.

Services are being held at Betts and West Funeral Home in Nicholasville. Visitation is Sunday May 7th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral will follow Monday May 8th at 1:00 PM.. Internment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Pall bearers will be his Grandsons.
