George Ryder David Jr.

George Ryder David Jr., 90, husband of Caroline Crase David, died at his home on July 9, 2011. He was a former employee of Barrett Sewing factory, Sargant and Greenleaf and the Jessamine County Animal Control. Mr. David served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and in the Army in WWII. Additional survivors include his children, Georgia (Morris) Wayne, Ricky (Beverly) David, Vickie (Tim) Hurt and Micki (Jack) Gill, all of Nicholasville, a step son, Gary Crase-Danville, a daughter in law, Linda Coffey David, grandchildren, Rusty Wayne, Kathy Wayne Hall, Randy David, Kellie David Sanford, Michael David, Michelle David Fain, Rick David, Andrew Hurt, Tony Hurt, Jaclynn Gill Davis, John Gill, a step grandson, Ryan Bailey, numerous great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years Elizabeth Donathan David, a son Jerry David and a step daughter, Mary Ann Crase Bailey. Services will be 1:00pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Baker and Rev. Bobby Becknell officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
