George Underwood

Nicholasvile-George Underwood, 89, widower of Ella Margaret Underwood, of Chrisman Mill Road, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009. George was the son of the late Merrit and Annie Peel Underwood. He was a retired employee of General Telephone, long time member of Layfette Nazarene and an avid fisherman. He was the loving father of Gary Underwood, grandfather to Whitney Humes, Tyler Underwood and Michael Lea, brother to Paul Underwood and loving friend to Dorothy Duncan. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Carol Ross and eight brothers and sisters. Services will be 1:30 pm Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell -Bud- Preston and Rev.
