Georgia Ann Shelton Welch

Georgia Ann Shelton Welch, 80, wife of Romeo Welch Sr., passed Sunday, May 27, 2018. She was born January 18, 1938 in Versailles, KY to the late Robert Stanley and Stattie Ray Disponette Shelton. Georgia was a member of Bethel Christian Church. She loved to grow flowers and bowl. Family survivors are two children, Charlotte (Raymond) Barron and Romeo (Angelia) Welch Jr., six grandchildren, David (Pamela) Barron, Jason (Emilee) Barron, Lindsey Bonds, Ashley Welch, Natasha Hugie, and Jessy Welch, thirteen great grandchildren, one brother, Robert (Virginia) Stanley Shelton, and other family members. Georgia was also preceded in death by at son, Cecil Ray Hopper. Funeral service will be 1:30 PM Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Stinnett officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:30 AM until time of service. Bearers will be Chad Hammond, Mike Hammond, Jason Barron, David Barron, Steve Young, and Mike Hay. Contributions suggested to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
