Gladys Mae Baker Smith, 79, widow of James William Smith, passed Tuesday, April 14th 2015. She was born on October 16, 1935 in Jessamine County, Kentucky to the late Hughey and Ethel Puckett Baker. Gladys was a dietician with Central Baptist Hospital and she loved to read, visit with her grandchildren and watch old Western movies. She is survived by five children Patsy (John) Bennett, James Lewis (Sherri) Smith, Wanda Blevins, Mary (Kenny) Decker and Ruby (Jeff) Smith, twelve grandchildren, Adam Smith, Brittney (Josh) McCowan, Tanner Smith, Crish Blevins, Stephanie (Jeremy) Foster, Jordan Smith, Jayla Smith, Jennifer Decker, Tamara Decker, Josh Smith, DJ Smith and Kenny Smith, nine great grandchildren, three brothers, Nick (Josephine) Baker, Paul (Beth) Baker and Billy (Martha) Baker. Gladys is also preceded in death by one son Tim Smith and grandchildren, William Thomas Perrin and April Dawn Smith. Funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 PM Friday, April 17th, 2015 at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation is 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday. Casket Bearers will be Tanner, BJ and Kenny Smith, Chris Blevins, Jordan and Adam Smith. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Anthony Baker, Josh Smith and Mikey Baker.
