Glenn L. Harney

Nicholasville- Glenn L. Harney, 73, husband of 53 years to Wanda Ginter Harney, died September 18, 2008 after a brief illness. He was born March 28, 1935, son of the late Claude and Alice Bell Chasteen Harney. He was retired after many years as a prominent businessman in Central Kentucky where he was a general contractor. He was a member of the Southland Christian Church. Additional survivors include two children, Keith (Lois) Harney and Cynthia Denise (Bill) Graves, a brother, Jack Harney and two sisters, Betty Wilson and Carol Schaffner. He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Harney. Services will be 11:00am Monday at Southland Christian Church, Building A Chapel, which was erected with Mr. Harney as the general contractor. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-4 and 6-9 at Betts & West Funeral Home. Bearers will be his Wednesday morning Bible study group.
