Glenn Odell Smith, 69, husband of Ethel Margaret Dixon Smith, died Sunday, July 14, 2013. He was born November 15, 1943 in Charlestown, IN to the late William Everett and Ethel Ora Grigsby Smith. Glenn was a tool and die maker for IBM. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, an Army Veteran, loved to sing, fish, a devout UK basketball, Cincinnati Red's baseball and sports fan. Survivors are three children, Robin Ened (Terry) Yancy, Katrina Ellen (Mark) Featherston, Scott Michael Morris, four grandchildren, Korinne Noel and Ki Lucas Henrickson, Connor Greene and Samuel Glenn Featherston, ten siblings, Gladys Coulter, Eugene Smith, Olena Brickner, Rebecca Bennett, Alma Brown, Nathaniel Smith, Marnie Smith, Lottie McComb, Kenneth Smith, Finace Smith and many nieces and nephews and other family members. He was also preceded in death by five siblings, Victoria Smith, Hedger Smith, Sandra Scott, Calvin Smith and Venetta Burns. Services will be 11:00 am Thursday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Pastor Basil Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitations will be 5:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home and 10:00 am until time of service Thursday at the church. Bearers will be Andrew, Barrett and Clay Smith, Keith French, Greg, Kevin and Bryan Becknell and Greg Banta. Honorary Bearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class, Bert Jones, Marion Williams, Chuck Dixon, Herb King, Wayne Taylor and Wayne Becknell. Contributions suggested to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
