Goldie Belle Maxey Dunn, 87, widow of Glenn H. Dunn, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in Lancaster, Kentucky. She was born in Casey County on February 27, 1936, to the late John Marion Maxey and Eva Hafley Maxey. Goldie is survived by her son, Richard Mulcahy; daughters, Patricia McClain, and Donna Mulcahy; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members. In addition to her husband, Glenn, she is preceded by a son, Raymond Mulcahy; daughter, Rhonda Mulcahy; brothers, Jesse Maxey, Harold Maxey, and Glen Maxey; as well as sisters, Ethel Maxey, and Pauline Sterling. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, June 12, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Denny officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, where bearers will be Robert Barbosa, Russell Lester, Wayne Lester, and Shawn Fox. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Monday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage Hospice in Danville, Kentucky.
