Harry Joseph Durham, 84, widower of Clara Fredia Alsman Durham, died Thursday, July 7, 2011 at his home. He was born December 22, 1926 in Nicholasville, KY to the late Arval Sanford and Emma True Durham. Harry was a member and deacon of Long Lick Baptist Church in Stamping Ground, KY and a Army Veteran of WWII. Survivors are six children, Joseph S. (Henrietta) Durham, Danny (Ruth) Durham, both of Nicholasville, Rita Durham of Lexington, Debbie (Kevin) Reynolds of London, Jeff (Linda) Durham of Lancaster, Karen (Arnett) Howard of Stamping Ground, thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, two sisters, Clarissa Simpson and Betty Smith, both of Nicholasville and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Emma Ann Durham and a grandson, Billy Joe Durham. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Redmond officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Bearers will be Phillip Howard, Chris Durham, Brian Durham, Jonathon Watkins, Walter Greene and Stanley Durham. Honorary bearers will be Estel Perry, Bob Gray, Arnett Howard and Bruce Martin.
