Hazel Lowery Callico, 89, widow of Eugene Callico, passed Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Hazel was born April 12, 1927 in Jessamine County to the late James Lowery and Frances Fathergill Walford. She was a member of Nicholasville Baptist Church. Family survivors are two children, Barbara (Jack) Blankenship and Danny (Peggy) Callico, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Service will be 12:00 PM, Noon Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Richard Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Bearers will be Jeffrey Blankenship, Richard Blankenship, Jason Hamilton, Steven McClure, Ronnie Parker and Lucas Parker. Honorary Bearers will be Roger Noe, Mitch Taylor, Gary Greer, Brandon McHome and Tyler McHome. Contributions suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
