Helen Maxine Reynolds, 96, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born in Jessamine County on January 20, 1927, to the late Pollard Reynolds and Lucille James Scott Reynolds. She was retired from GTE, where she worked as secretary to the vice president. Maxine was also a member of the Nicholasville United Methodist Church, where she participated in their Manna Meals program. In her younger days, Maxine was an avid traveler, having visited 48 states of the US. She was also a proud member of the Jessamine County Beef Cattle Association. She leaves behind her loving and devoted caretakers, Alesia Sallee and Judy Guy; lifelong friends, Brenda Cobb, Lynn and Jerry Lawson, Pauline Holtzer, and Martina McEwen; as well as a host of other friends and family members. She was preceded in death by a close friend, William “Whiz” Latham. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 5, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where bearers will be Brent Fairchild, Stan Wiggam, Scott Latham, Gerald Cobb, Eric Cox, Coby Lawson, and Brad Jones. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Maxine and her family in their time of need.
