Jack Ray Cornn, 73, husband of Joan Mildred Head Cornn, died Friday, March 28, 2014. He was born March 15, 1941 in Rabun, GA to the late Jesse Cornn and Geneva Black Silvers. Jack was a retired Army Veteran having received a Purple Heart, attended Bethel Christian Church and a member of the Goat Club. He also liked to play golf, was a workaholic and a comedian. Family survivors are four children, Teresa (Brian) Nally, Cindy (Don) Haggard, Jacqlyn (Kelan) Thompson, Jennifer (Jake) Dunlap, grandchildren, Hylarii, Amber, Cameron, Tannar, Alexandria, Dalton, Annabelle, Colton and one on the way, six great grandchildren and one on the way, a sister, Bessie White, three brothers, David (Peggy) Cornn, Jimmy Cornn and Lester (Evelyn) Lunsford, numerous other family. Services will be 11:30am Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Sunday. Bearers will be Brian Nally, Don Haggard, Jake and Levi Dunlap, Larry Trout and Kelan Thompson. Honorary Bearers will be Don Stevens and James Crowe.
