James Allen Sexton

James Allen Sexton, 76, husband of Virginia Collier Sexton passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, at his home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was born in Fleming Neon, Kentucky on January 30, 1947, to the late Curtis Sexton and the late Edna Anderson Sexton. James dedicated his life to his family and service to others. After retirement, James enjoyed woodworking and volunteered his time serving the community at the Jessamine County food pantry. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; son, Curtis Allen Sexton (Melissa Carol); daughters, Penny Louise Devore (John Horlander), and Mary Denise Smakal (Russ), brother, Eddie Sexton (Marsha); three grandchildren, Chasity Sexton, Richard Churchman, Felicia Deakle, and three great-grandchildren, Natalya Walker, Zayden Walker, and Carson Anderson. Services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 6, 2023, at New Hope Fellowship Church with Pastor Richard Stipe officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
