James Carlos Mccarty

James Carlos McCarty, 61, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, at his home on Chrisman Mill Road in Nicholasville. He was born in Lexington on August 12, 1961, to the late Paul Daniel McCarty and Daisy Emma McCarty Shelley. He is survived by two brothers, Paul McCarty, and Gary McCarty, as well as three sisters, Alice Duh (John Rollins), Darlene Stinnett (Dwayne), and Wanda McCarty (Robert). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Connie McCarty, Regina McCarty, Mark McCarty, Mike McCarty, and Daniel McCarty, and a sister-in-law, Rebecca McCarty. Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, April 26, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Peel officiating. Burial will follow at Mose Reynolds Cemetery, where bearers will be Dwayne Stinnett, Greg Stinnett, John Rollins, Steve O’ Sheeley, Ronnie Hager, Paul McCarty, Sierra Duh, and Leah Duh. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve the McCarty family in their time of need.
