James Otis "Bud" Wilder

James Otis -Bud- Wilder, 71, husband of Mildred Lyons Wilder, died Saturday, December 12, 2009 of ALS and other health problems. He was the son of the late Otis Washington and Pearlie Ethel Jones Wilder. Bud was a member of Brookside Baptist Church and was a former member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a retired housekeeper for the University of Kentucky working there for over 30 years. Additional survivors are a son, Tim Wilder of Nicholasville, three sisters, Joyce (Jess) Hatfield of Nicholasville, Lois Goers and Jo (Ray) Board of Michigan and other family members. Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne Brewer and Rev. Bobby Becknell officiating. Burial will be in Wilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Garnett Cocanougher, Brad Jones, Howard Drury, Ed. Graham, Charlie Watts and Bill Royalty.
