Nicholasville-James Ray Epley, 44, of Rugby Road, Lexington, formerly of Jessamine County, died unexpectedly, June 1, 2008. He was a former employee of Gulf States/Rock 10. He was a born in Ft. Knox, KY on born April 1, 1964, son of Junior Ray Epley and the late Sarah Rebecca Barnett Blackford. Additional survivors include his wife, Teresa Epley, two daughters, Melanie Rose Epley and Rebecca Dawn Epley, brothers, Kenneth Epley, Gary (Gina) Epley, Timmy and Ricky Blackford, and a sister Holly Wilson, his dad, Richard A. Blackford Sr., nephews and nieces, Richie Epley, Sarah Blackford, Timothy Blackford Jr., and Jon Michael Blackford, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, including a special uncle, Levi Barnett. Services will be 1:00pm Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Flynn Rogers. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-9pm Wednesday. Bearers will be Kevin Freeman, Jim Regester, Brent Walsh, John Osborne, Randy Cox, Duane Baker, Darrell Barnett Jr. and Brandon Laird. Honorary bearers will be Shannon Hunt, Richie Epley, Tommy Laird, Montie Stamper, Donald (Bandiego) Howell and Ricky Blackford.
