Nicholasville-James Ray Reed, 77, widower of Faye Mastin Reed, of Broadway, died at his home on October 24, 2009 surrounded by his family. He is survived by eight children, James (Betty) Coffey-Waynesburg, Linda Waller and her special friend, Ray Sparks-Nicholasville, Ruthie Reed-Nicholasville, Brenda (Fred) Trosper-Eubank, William Reed-Nicholasville, Virginia Saylor-Lincoln Co., Lisa (William) Dunaway-Nicholasville and Charlene (Donnie) Harris-Mt. Sterling, twenty one grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two sisters, Ann Isacc-Nicholasville and Mary Ruth Smith-Lexington, a brother, Raymond Reed-Danville. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Mastin and a brother, Charles Reed. Services will be 2:00pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. David Marsee. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Monday. Bearers will be Paul Ray Baker, Doug Reed, William Dunaway Sr., Justin Dunaway, Ray Sparks and Donald Harris. Honorary Bearers will be William Dunaway Jr., Stan Collins, Randy Mastin Jr., William Reed, Gilbert Graham III, James Coffey Jr., Tyler Sparks, Donald Harris, Cayden Flanery and Bobby French.
