Janet Marie Estes Halcomb, 56, loving wife of Albert Halcomb, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, Kentucky. She was born on March 27, 1968, in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Roy Lee Estes and Carnelia Lunsford Estes. Janet was the Co-owner of Al’s Auto of Lancaster and Nicholasville and attended First Christian Church. In addition to her husband Al, she is survived by three children, Albert Halcomb, Jr. (Rebecca), Michael Halcomb (Jalie), and Holly Turner (Cloman, Jr.), and ten grandchildren, Damien Halcomb, Ava Halcomb, Autumn Turner, Cloman Turner, III, Blake Halcomb, Noah Turner, Landon Halcomb, Michael Kanatzer, Bentley Snyder, and Andrew Waldrop. Additional survivors include a sister, Julie Moungey (Mike), and seven brothers, Ricky Estes (Rosie), Ernest Estes, Jimmy Estes (Melissa), Roy Estes Jr., Mike Estes (Roberta), Bobby Estes (Pam), and Anthony Estes. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Lee Halcomb. Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Greg Herriford officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A graveside service and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Albert Halcomb Jr., Michael Halcomb, Cloman Turner Jr., Damien Halcomb, Mike Moungey, and Jimmy Estes. Betts & West Funeral Home is honored to serve Janet and the Halcomb family.
