Jean Houp Duggins, 75, widow of Billy Duggins of Kimberly Heights Drive, died June 7, 2010 after an extended illness. She was a member of Mt. Freedom Baptist Church in Wilmore and also attended Bethel Christian Church. Mrs. Duggins was a member of the Expect a miracle Prayer Group. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lottie Lamb Houp. Survivors include two sons, Steve and Keith Duggins, a special adopted daughter, Lisa Miller, a step granddaughter, Becki Smith, brothers and sisters, Kenneth Houp and wife Lou, Charles Houp and wife Jenny, J.D. Houp and wife Regina, Jimmy Houp and wife Nancy, Nancy True and husband Larry, Bradley Houp and wife Susie and Connie Harris and husband Cecil, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Mary Barron and her husband Russ and her sister Faye Powell. Services will be 10:30am Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Elliott officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Friday. Burial will follow in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Kenneth, Charles, J.D., Jimmy and Bradley Houp, Cecil Harris and Vandre Dawson.
