Jeanetta Gay Berryman Dennis, 87, wife of Wendell Leroy Dennis, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at her home on Vince Road in Nicholasville, Kentucky. She was born on January 18, 1937, in Estill County, Kentucky, to the late Cecil Berryman and Celia Palmer Berryman. Jeanetta was an Eastland Church of God member in Lexington, Kentucky, and a buyer for the McAlpins Department Store in Lexington, Kentucky. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Barry (Celeste) Dennis, Kevin (Pam) Dennis, and Jeffrey (Jeanne) Dennis, five grandchildren, Taylor Dennis, Kristian (Zac) Banta, Gaelynn (Parker) Schwendiman, Caleb Dennis, Brooke Dennis, four great-grandchildren, Lilly Banta, Carter Schendiman, Luke Banta, and Everly Schwendiman. Additional survivors include three sisters, Judy Brown, Pamela Todd, and Nancy Puckett, as well as brother-in-law Dienzel (Joy) Dennis and Daryl (Joy) Dennis. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Rose, and her husband, Jake, a sister, Kathy Berryman, a brother, Garland Berryman, a sister-in-law, Eulane Rose, and her husband, Farris. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Glen Sizemore and Bro. Mike Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. The visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
