Jeanne Nissen

Jeanne Nissen, 90, loving wife of 68 years to Edward Nissen, passed away at Wesley Village, Wilmore, on Thursday, June 13. She was born in Cleveland, NC, on March 3, 1923, to the late Everett and Annie Davis. She was a devoted wife and mother, a skilled homemaker, an active member of her church, and a faithful servant of the Lord. In her last years, she was lovingly cared for by her husband and by the caregivers of Wesley Village. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: Timothy Nissen, of Hudson, WI, and Bonnie Harstad, of Wilmore, KY. Her memory will also live on in the hearts of seven great grandchildren and four grandchildren: April Moore, of Hudson, WI, Crystal VanWinkle, of Wilmore, KY, Davis Harstad, of Nicholasville, KY, and Keith Harstad, of Wilmore, KY. Memorial service Monday, June 17, 3:00 p.m. in the Wilmore Senior Community Center at Wesley Village; reception follows in the library. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the International Mission Board, 3806 Monument Ave, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230.
