Jesse Welch Teater

Jesse Welch Teater, 88, husband of Hazel Ruth Doolin Teater, Hickory Hill Road, died Sunday, May 9, 2010. He was born April 10, 1922 the son of the late Elijah -Lige- Teater and Beatrice Preston Teater. Jesse was a farmer, member of Nicholasville Baptist Church and loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Judy Shepard and her husband, James of Lawrenceburg, a granddaughter, Jennifer Trammell and her husband Jason of Lexington, two great granddaughters, Breanna and Nevaeh Trammell of Lexington, two sisters, Ruth Overstreet and her husband Bunky, Erline Harris, sister in law, Ula Teater, special friend, L.C. Lee, all of Nicholasville and other family members and friends. He was also preceded in death by his other siblings, Lillian Gloff, Ruby Hager, Clyde, Robert and Harrison Teater. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Dr. Allen Harrod officiating. Visitation will be 5-8:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Bearers will be Allen Harris, Gerald Fain, Bobby, Dawson, Bobby Jr. and Doug Doolin. Honorary Bearers will be L.C.
