Jewell Blakeman

Jewell Blakeman, 90, widow of Carl Blakeman, passed away February 29, 2016 at her residence. She was born May 24, 1925 in Carter County to the late Alvia and Florence Thompson Jarvis. Jewell is survived by eight children, Ed (Phyllis) Eary, Helen (Bill) Covington, Joann (Jackie) Shanks, Freddie (Joyce) Eary, Jimmy (Kathy) Eary, Steve (Debra) Eary, Carl (Cindy) Eary and Charles (Stephanie) Eary, 52 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and other family members. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Curt Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4:00 until 8:00 PM.
