Jewell Irene Poynter Hudson, 80, widow of Ernest William -Jack- Hudson, died Saturday, September 20, 2008. Jewell was born September 27, 1927 in Somerset, KY to the late Albert and Betty Denny Poynter. Survivors are ten children, Tekita Lee (James) Hall, Mildred Joyce (Denver) Shuman, Ernest Lee (Sheila) Hudson, Peggy Irene (Johnny) McCollum, Lois Jean (Lawrence) Tillit, Billy Wayne (Linda) Hudson, Jackie Marie (Jerry) Graves, Susan Beatrice Merriman, Stephan William (Debbie) Hudson and Robert Ricky (Tammy) Hudson, twenty one grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and other family members. Services will be 10:00am Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Chaplin Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Ernest, Billy Wayne, Stephan William, Robert Rickey, Johnthon and Justin Hudson.
