Joanne Ruth Comer Bellman

Joanne Ruth Comer Bellman, 86, of Dublin, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 3, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merrill Anthony and Ruth Caroline Comer; infant daughter, Margaret Jo;infant great-grandchild, Riley Albin; and brother, James Merrill Comer. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Rev. Robert Bellman; children, Bob Bellman and wife, Jackie, Jeff Bellman, George Bellman and wife, Donna, Chris Bellman and wife, Debbie, Bill Bellman and wife, Carol, and Ruthie Bellman; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Steve Comer and wife, Joyce; and her best friend, Starla Kirkland and husband, Al. Joanne was a loving, strong and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who put the Lord and her family first in her life.She enjoyed working with married couples leading Marriage Enrichment Weekends with her husband.She enjoyed spending time with her family and with her special friends in Scott's Ferry, Fla. The Family Gathering will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 155 Dunlap Drive, NE, Christiansburg.The Graveside Service will be conducted at a later date in Wilmore, Ky.
