John Garnet Teater

John Garnet Teater, 81, widower of Rosezella Blevins Teater, died Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his home. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on November 9, 1941, to the late Virgil Teater and the late Alline Durham Teater. John was a self-employed brick mason. Survivors include his daughters, Jackie (Buddy) Puckett and Sandra Smith, seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, siblings, Lester Teater, Darrell (Arlene) Teater, James (Mary) Teater, Donald (Pauline) Teater, Albert (Cheri) Teater, Doris McVey, and Marjorie June (Robert) Richards. He was preceded in death by two sons, David Allen Teater and John Edward Teater, a sister, Naomi Ruth Majors, a son in law, Steve Smith. Services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
