Nicholasville-John Harvey Dunaway, 53, widower of Maria Rothgeb Dunaway, of Lauren Drive, died February 9, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was an employee of Georgia Pacific. John enjoyed the Relay for Life, music and his family He was born in Wilmore on May, 4, 1954, son of the late Virgil Carlton Dunaway and Lida Ellen Lyons Dunaway. Survivors include his five children, Jennifer Cooper (Tracy Davis)-Nicholasville, Renee (Michael) Spickard-Wilmore, Chris (Angie) Cooper, Tommy (Heather) Dunaway and Nathan Dunaway,all of Nicholasville, eleven grandchildren, Brittany Dunaway, Rebecca and Caitlyn Spickard, Kelsey Dunaway, Austin Stacy, Lexus and Shaylin Cooper, Kyliee Cooper, Kaleigh and Cadance Dunaway, Trenton Cooper, brothers James (Louise) Dunaway, Bobby (Linda) Dunaway, Billy (Dinah) Dunaway, Freddy (Imajean) Dunaway, David Dunaway, Gary (Nan) Dunaway, William (Lisa) Dunaway, and Virgil (Brenda) Dunaway, a sister, Mildred Brown and a very special friend Diana Bowen. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jensen Gage Cooper, sisters, Sarah Slone, Imogene Gill and Doris Harrison. Services will be 11:00am Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Leonard Fitch officiating. Burial will be in the Wilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Monday and Tuesday at the funeral home. Bearers will be Tommy and Nathan Dunaway, Chris Cooper, William Dunaway, William Dunaway Jr. and Gary Dunaway. Honorary bearers will be Timmy Rothgeb, James, Bobby, Freddy, David, Virgil and Billy Dunaway.
