John Thomas Barber

John Thomas Barber, 85, husband of Joyce Fain Barber, of Frankfort Ford Road, Wilmore, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022. John was born on April 21, 1937, in Versailles, Kentucky to the late Arvis Barber and Mary Frances Gregory Doty. John was a member of the United States Air Force, a self-employed construction worker, and former owner and operator of the Rainbow Restaurant in Nicholasville. He is survived by his wife Joyce, a son, Steve Thomas Barber, a daughter, Pam Barber, a brother, Arvis “Bud” Barber, and three grandchildren, John Mitchell Barber, Jill (Chris Shea) Barber, and Huston Barber. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Barber. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, September 9, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as bearers. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
