John William Halderman

John William Halderman, 74, husband of Judy Durham Halderman, passed, Thursday, March 2, 2017. He was born February, 24, 1943 in Jessamine County to the late Thomas Robert Halderman and Pearl Bryant Reynolds Shanklin. John was retired from the Trane Company after thirty eight years of service, member of Mt. Beulah United Methodist Curch and liked to bowl and hunt. He was also an Army Veteran. Additional survivors are two children, James Thomas (Cheryl) Halderman and Tonya Lynn Abney and her fiancé Grady Moore, four grandchildren, Michelle Ann Halderman, Sarah Lynn Halderman, Joshua Bryant (Ashley) Abney and Jonathan William Abney, a sister, Connie (Danny) Hogue, a lifelong best friend, J.D. Houp and other family members and friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Halderman and Richard Halderman, three sisters, Joan Humphrey, Lucy Nichols and Marcie Shanklin. Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Leonard Fitch officiating. Burial will follow in Wilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Bearers will be James Humphrey, Barry Humphrey, Bobby Humphrey, Ricky Halderman, Donald Halderman, Richard Halderman, Robert Halderman, Danny Gene Hogue and William Hogue.
