John A. Walker, 96, widower of Florence Stipe Walker, of Rebel Road, Nicholasville, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021, at his home. He was born in Jessamine County on June 18, 1925, to the late John L. and Vina Dean Walker. John worked as a farmer for most of his life. He is survived by two daughters, Jane Graham and Vicki Graham, two sisters, Helen Burch and Ann Corman, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Christopher, one grandson Adam Graham and three sons-in-law, Ronnie Christopher, Sonny Graham, Eddie Graham, and six siblings. Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 13, 2021, with Bro. David Grose and Bro. Richard David Stipe officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Darren Graham, Jason Graham, Gunner Graham, Lonnie Christopher, Gayle Walker, and Lowell Duncan. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
