Johnny Dale Hager, 59, husband of Cheryl Ann Moore Hager, died Thursday, August 16, 2012. He was born July 1, 1953 in Jessamine County to the late Andrew Jackson and Mabel Frances Willis Hager. Johnny was a member of True Gospel Tabernacle, coached little league sports including baseball, football and basketball, was past president of Jessamine County Youth Football and was inducted into the Jessamine County Sports Hall of Fame and also liked to fish. Family survivors include four children, William Donald Hager, Misty (James) Perkins, Daniel Lee (Carman) Hager, James Wesley Hager, five grandsons, Andrew, Benjamin and Shawn Perkins, Matthew Hager and William Donald Hager Jr.. a sister, Sheila Preston, a brother, Elwood (Linda 'Jody') Hager and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a brother, William Donald Hager. Services will be 10:30 am Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Ministers will be Paul Huff, James Humphrey and Elwood Hager. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 until 8 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Billy Mastin, Glenn McDonald, Jimmy Peel, Bobby Watts, Ryan Montgomery and Coleman Tudor. Honorary Bearers will be James 'Red' Burge, Keith Parker, Jeff Puckett, Joshua A. Hager, Chris 'Peeps' Hager, Andy 'Gooshin' Mastin, Pete Graham, William Rogers and Sister Brenda Devine.

2-8 pm, Sunday August 19, 2012 at Betts & West Funeral Home

10:30 am Monday, August 20, 2012 at Betts & West Funeral Home

Interment:
Maple Grove Cemetery
