Johnny Leslie "Buck" Blakeman Sr.

Johnny Leslie 'Buck' Blakeman Sr., 64, died March 21, 2011 after a lengthily illness. He was a retired surveyor for the state of Kentucky and member of the Stone Road Bass Club. He was born March 6, 1947 in Fayette County, KY to Christine Lowery Hayes and the late Leo Leslie Blakeman. Additional survivors are two children, Johnny Leslie (Tammy) Blakeman and Jennifer Ann Blakeman, three grandchildren, Hunter Blakeman, Taya Romero and Aiden Johnson, two sisters, Betty Williams and Kathy Sparks and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Jerry Blakeman. Services will be Noon Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Richard T. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 Wednesday at the funeral home. Bearers will be David, Bobby and Stephen Sauls, Chris Edwards, Dennis Bowers and David Moore.
