Joseph Allen Gayheart, 27, beloved husband and best friend of Whitney Dyas Gayheart, died Sunday, February 24. In addition to his wife he is survived by his parents, Janet Elaine Gayheart and Mike Gayheart, a sister, Kimberly (Chris) Moore, grandmothers Elvena Cox and Mary Alice Gayheart, aunts, uncles, cousins, a loving Dyas family and host of friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Martin Cox and W. C. Gayheart. He was an employee of Neo-Brake Systems.

Joseph loved hunting, golf, and all sports, specifically University of Kentucky basketball. His favorite pastime was getting together with family to play games, which he could do for hours at a time. Joseph brought joy and laughter to every life he touched.

Visitation will be at Betts and West Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 27, from 1:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral services Thursday at 1:00 PM, with Pastors Sabra Dyas and Bill Bales officiating. Vocalist, C. J. Dyas. Burial will be at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Kenny Burdine, Casey Allender, Corey Allender, Todd Gayheart, Greg Long, Remington Dyas, and Andrew Murphy. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to: Bethel Christian Church, 1991 Phillips Lane, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, National Processing Center, P. O. Box 1245, Alberta Lea, MN 56007-9976, or Mainstreet Ministry, P. O. Box 810, Pella, Iowa 50219.
