Joseph J. Fawcett

Joseph J. Fawcett, 77, husband of 56 years to Jean Matiskella Fawcett, died September 6, 2012 after a brief illness. He was a former employee of James River/Dixie Cup and was the son of the late Joseph and Clare Michaeli Fawcett. Mr. Fawcett was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Additional survivors include four children and their spouses, Regina and Billy Rice, Joseph and Sun Fawcett, Chris and Cindy Fawcett and Stephen and Yonel Fawcett, seven grandchildren, Jeremiah and Nicholas Turpin, Elisa Fawcett and Christina Davis, Rachel Allen, Matthew and Nathan Fawcett, a brother Ronald (Tina) Fawcett. Services will be 11:00am Monday at St. Luke Catholic Church with Father Patrick Fitzsimons officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Sunday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rosary Services observed at 8:00pm. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
