Joyce Johns Slugantz

Joyce Johns Slugantz, wife of John Thomas Slugantz Sr., passed Thursday, November 16, 2017. She was born January 19, 1935 in Fayette County to the late Phillip Johns and Lillian Sheilds Wheeler. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Also survived by five children, Patricia Ann (Robert) Patterson, Janet Lee (George) Scherzer, John Thomas (Sandy) Slugantz II, James Keith Slugantz, and Jennifer Lynn Slugantz, nine grandchildren, Christopher and Jeffrey (Sarah) Patterson, Michael and Nicole Scherzer, Andrew, Seth, Mollie, Emma Slugantz, and Gabriel Slugantz and other family members and friends. Service will be 1:00 Monday at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Sholar, Samuel Schmidt , Bob Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Edgewood Baptist Church. Grandsons will serve as bearers. Honorary bearers will be the members of the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
