Judy Lynn Shelton

Judy Lynn Shelton, 72, of Sallee Way, Lancaster, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville. She was born in Pulaski County, on November 24, 1950, to the late Woodford Sumner and Mayrene Slaven Sumner. Love for her family was unlike anything else you would ever see. She loved the beach and all it ever had to offer in its beauty. Front-porch-sitting with her furbabies, watching her grown kids play in the yard with the Littles was her happy place. Her laugh was infectious and her smile was heartfelt. To know her was to love her, as she was a very special lady to many and the best Moma and Mamaw she could be. Judy is survived by her daughters, Candy Wilson (Doug), and Misty Shelton (James); grandkids, Jacob (Tayler), Ashley (Austin), Jaisa Wilson (Bo), Nattie Grace, and Jae Wilson; two very special little girls, her great-grandbabies, Ayva Kate, and Ella Kent; her mother, Mayrene Sumner; as well as special friend, Joannie Brown; and her brother, Gary Sumner. In addition to her father, she is preceded by one grandson, Charles Zachary, and numerous other family members. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 13, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where casket bearers will be Jacob Messer, Doug Wilson, James Taylor, Austin McClure, Bo Justus, and Rick Freeman. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Thursday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Judy and her loving family in their time of need.
